Plies, cuyo nombre verdadero es Algernord Lanier Washington, es un rapero estadounidense. Nació en Fort Myers, Florida, Estados Unidos, el 1 de julio de 1976. Es conocido por sus canciones, como: "I'm Not A Racist", "Drip 4 Sale", "All The Above" y "Rock". Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Plies nació y creció en Fort Myers, Florida, donde demostró su interés por la música. Estudió en la escuela Fort Myers Senior High School. Después fue receptor abierto en el equipo de fútbol americano Miami Redskins de la Universidad de Miami, con sede en Ohio, entre 1996 y 1997, antes de comenzar su carrera musical. Después de abandonar la universidad, firmó con Slip-n-Slide Records.
