Es un grupo de hip hop latino proveniente de South Gate, California. Fue formado en 1986 y a lo largo de su amplia y exitosa carrera han vendido más de 18 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo. El grupo está formado por DJ Muggs (Lawrence Muggerud, DJ y productor, 28 de enero de 1968), B-Real (Louis Freese, Mc, 2 de junio de 1970), Sen Dog (Senen Reyes, Mc, 20 de noviembre de 1965) y Eric Bobo (Eric Correa, percusionista, 27 de agosto de 1968, que se integró en 1994).
